Campfire Chief Badge

Love being around the campfire? The Campfire Chief Skill Badge is for those who can do more than just sing along. It recognises the skills needed to safely set up, maintain and help lead a great campfire.

To earn your Campfire Chief Skill Badge:

• Understand basic campfire safety, including choosing a suitable location and different ways to safely light a fire.
• Know at least three different types of fire lays and when they might be useful.
• Successfully light and maintain a campfire for the duration of a campfire event.
• Plan a campfire programme, including suitable songs and activities, considering your surroundings and audience.
• Take the lead on at least two songs or skits appropriate for your audience.
